SamBox I – Patent Pending Kydex Distro

The all new SamBox I Kydex Distro is a patent-pending non-conductive electrical power distribution assembly. It combines the benefits of Kydex and extruded aluminum in one hybrid distro design. Kydex meets UL 94 V-0 ratings and offers durable, high-impact-resistant performance.

As a result, manufacturers use it in tactical holsters, airplane interiors, buses, and subways. This SamBox also uses all Hubbell devices and one hundred percent rated hydraulic breakers.

In addition, it includes four bottom rubber feet and a snapback carry handle. The top and base fasten with twenty-four screws.

Meanwhile, six screws and nylon locknuts fasten the walls, with three screws on each side. All devices sit behind the vertical and horizontal line to help prevent accidental damage during transportation and use. The SamBox I also meets UL1640 Standards and can support any UL1640-allowed configuration.

For input, it uses five Series 16 Cam Hubbell receptacles. Those receptacles include three hots, labeled X, Y, and Z, plus a neutral and ground.

For output, it includes twelve industrial-grade Hubbell duplex receptacles.

Those receptacles use the NEMA 5-20 configuration and support 20A, 125V, 2P/3W service.

Overcurrent protection includes twelve 20A single-pole breakers.

Finally, the unit measures 12.75 inches by 12.75 inches by 9.5 inches, weighs 26 pounds, and carries an indoor rating.
